For community cats

Small steps. Lasting change.

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a humane way to care for community cats and reduce colony growth over time.

How TNR works

A thoughtful path back home.

01

Trap

Community cats are safely and humanely captured.

02

Neuter

A veterinarian spays or neuters each cat, provides a rabies vaccination, and ear-tips the cat for identification.

03

Return

After recovery, cats return to the place they know, where caretakers provide food and shelter.

Why it matters

Healthier cats. Stronger communities.

TNR prevents new litters and can reduce fighting, loud mating calls, and spraying. With steady care, it supports the health of cats already living in the community.

Community cat care

Care continues after return.

Responsible caretakers offer regular food and water, keep feeding spaces clean, watch for signs of illness or injury, and coordinate veterinary help when needed.
